Infinite happiness that comes from doing something that is so core to your belief systems and makes your toes tingle when you can change people’s lives.
Tuesday night we held the 3rd annual Meet Plan Go! event across the country with the sole goal of getting more people to take a break and travel. This year it was a personal journey for me to take as my business partner and friend Michaela took a break from the project this year. I learned that working solo on a project like this wasn’t nearly as fulfilling to me. I always knew that it was going to be a lot of work to pull it off this year, but I pushed forward because I knew how wildly fulfilling it would be the night of the event as I have an opportunity to change people’s lives – and that’s a drug I can’t get enough of.
There is no better feeling than looking out among a sea of people who are looking to make a change in their life – knowing that you have an answer for them. There’s nothing better than realizing that your good friends would do anything for you when you need a hand. There no better emotion than the success you feel when you work together as a team towards a common goal.
All of these things happened last night for me. It was one of those perfect nights which makes you believe in the world and your place in it.
We Met, Planned, and Went – and here’s what some people had to say about it.
Year 3 – it’s a wrap! Now….back to traveling!
Sounds like it was the best year ever, Sherry. I’m so happy for you, and for the fact that you got such a lift out of it.
Congrats Sherry to you, all those who helped organize, and of course to all the attendants! Looks like it was an amazing event and an IMPORTANT one – get out there and travel people! 🙂
Thanks! It was a great night. It’s fun to participate in – as if your blog sort of comes to life and you have people in front of you asking questions all of a sudden instead of leaving comments!
935 attendees – that’s incredible! Chicago was a great event filled with inspiring people. I’ll definitely seek out Meet, Plan, Go again next year!
